On the 6th and 7th of February 2009, over 100 Warcraft fans from across the world braved the sub-zero temperatures and gathered in Milton Keynes to celebrate the Darkmoon Faire and all of its activities.
With players venturing from as far as New York, it had to be a pretty special event, with some pretty special prizes, and it didn’t disappoint.
After 2 days of battling through the pack, Erik van der Laan walked away with a Dell XPS Gaming Laptops as the champion of the main event, narrowly defeating his countryman Jeffrey Verwoerd. Congratulations go to Erik for his 2nd Darkmoon Faire win after his 2007 Darkmoon Faire Milan victory!
Darkmoon Faire Milton Keynes also hosted the first every Minis Championship. With the top 8 players all receiving Spectral Tiger loot cards, it was a fierce competition. Eventually, Stuart Wright rose above the rest to take the championship and 1st prize of Gaming Laptop, Spectral Tiger and Framed Sheet of Uncut cards! Congratulations Stuart – our first Darkmoon Faire Minis Champion – an Englishman!
