This year the UK National Championships will be held on the 6th & 7th September at the Edge building within the University of Sheffield.
For this year’s National Championship we’re introducing a Last Chance Qualifier event!
Patriot Games has very kindly agreed to open its shop on the evening of Friday 5th September for a Last Chance Qualifier so even if you have not qualified from a Regional event you still have a chance to play in the main event! Patriot Games is based in Sheffield and their website is http://www.patriotgames.ltd.uk/home.htm
The format this year will be 6 Rounds of Constructed and 6 rounds of draft, cutting to Top 8.
Even if you are not attending for the main event there will be many fun and interesting side events for players to play in as well as ongoing booster drafts throughout the day.
World of Warcraft Nationals is looking to be a fantastic weekend and we would love for you all to join us in the festivities. We have also made arrangements with Gamer’s Events to provide onsite student-style accommodation for £50 pounds a night (includes breakfast). You can book your room at http://www.gamerzevents.com/!
Everyone who books at least one night’s accommodation through Gamer’s Events will be receive a free draft coupon!
As well as all the TCG fun, a free buffet will be held on the Saturday evening after Round 6 of the National Championship. This is open to everyone who attends (Nationals players, side event players and spectators) to say thank you for your support!!
This will be followed by the 1st draft of the National Championships and an open casual gaming evening for everyone else, including the infamous Zapped Giants event.
Did we also mentionthere’s a bar that will be open till late as well?
On top of all this (yes, we know we spoil you), they'll also be a great side event we're yet to announce, so keep your eyes peeled for this!
